Bird & Nature Presentations
We offer a variety of presentation topics on Alberta's birds and nature, including:

- Creating a Bird Friendly Yard & Garden
- Local Bird Species + Bird Song Identification
- Fall & Winter Bird Species + Adaptations
- Alberta's Solitary Bees + Bee Hotels

Details for our bird & nature presentations:
- All talks are done by our store owner, Alana Tollenaar.
- Talks range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your needs.
- Presentations are most often in-person, but online webinars can be accommodated as well!
- We are happy to travel around Alberta! We do charge mileage for presentations outside of our home community of Spruce Grove, which will be calculated at the time of booking.
Workshops & Activities
In addition to our presentations, we offer a variety of workshops and activities that private groups can book! Here are just a few of the activities we've done:
- Bird Nesting Wreath Activity (great for all ages!)
- Kids Milk Carton Bee Hotel Workshop (suggested for kids with adult help, need power drills)
- Adult Full-Size Bee Hotel Workshop (participants need to bring their own power drill)
- Owl Pellet Dissection Class (suggested for school-aged kids)
- Pinecone Owl Nesting Ball Activity (suggested for ages 3-14)
- Pinecone Suet Ball Bird Feeder (contains nuts) (suggested for ages 3-14)
- Clothespin Cardboard Bird Feeder Craft (nut-free) (suggested for ages 3-14)
- Custom Wood Tile or Ornament Painting Activity (great for all ages!)
We love to partner with all sorts of community groups, from youth groups such as Girl Guides, Scouts, or Junior Forest Wardens, to adult groups like community leagues, book clubs, ladies nights, and seniors associations.
