Paint two different concrete birds (approximately 4" x 4" x 4") with the guidance of concrete guru, Sharla Forster!
She will then take them back to her shop and clear-coat them to seal your paint job. Pick up of your completed concrete piece will be within 1-2 weeks of the date of the class.

Create your own embroidered songbird on a 3.5-4" hoop! This is a great class for beginners. Our instructor, Jasper, will guide you through the class to create any songbird you would like, with help from a pattern combined with your unique creativity and touch!

Paint your own wood tile decoration just in time for the holidays! A great activity for all ages and skill levels! You can drill holes in them and make them hanging ornaments if you'd like to! Proceeds go to supporting the Spruce Grove & District Agricultural Society!

Sunday, December 15, 2024 - Soapstone Bear Carving Class with Barry! (Register Here)
Come and join us for a fine art class here at Backyard Birds! Carve your very own bear statue out of soapstone with the help of soapstone artist Barry Kostiuk.
This class is limited to 6 participants only, to give you as much individualized attention during the class as possible, and allow you to hone your craft throughout the day.
Participants should bring a bath towel to carve the bear on, a pair of thin gloves (rubber or gardening), and may also want to bring a mask from the dust created from the soapstone.
Time: 10:00 AM Start - 4:00 PM End
Note: This is a full day class! ~6 hours, including a lunch break!)
